PanArcticon Data Café is a collaborative research platform that brings together digital and material resources from global North social science research. Established in 2017, it supports the organization, sharing, and interpretation of qualitative data through common standards, vocabularies, and research tools. By connecting diverse collections and research projects, the platform extends the accessibility and long-term value of knowledge across disciplines.

Kjøpmannsgata 7 served as the original home of PanArcticon Archives + Data Café, an ethnographic repository dedicated to StudioPolar collections and associated research projects across the global and circumpolar North. Functioning as both archive and workspace, the Data Café provided a setting for the curation, storage, and interpretation of digital records, field materials, and artefactual collections, supporting comparative and collaborative research.
