Ethnographic Toolkit for Executive Energy Transition Events

Roundtable Diagnostics develops ethnographic formats for executive energy-transition events. Combining anthropological observation, facilitation, and diagnostic analysis, the project examines how organizations navigate uncertainty, competing priorities, and strategic decision-making. The framework below outlines the relationship between observation, facilitation, diagnostics, and outcomes.

Diagnostic Architecture: A schematic representation of ethnographic observation, facilitation, diagnostics, uncertainty, and strategic outcomes.

Overview

Roundtable Diagnostics develops ethnographic tools for executive energy-transition events, including roundtables, stakeholder forums, workshops, and leadership retreats. The project examines how organizations navigate uncertainty, competing priorities, and strategic decision-making.

Approach

Drawing on long-term anthropological research on expertise and energy governance, the project combines ethnographic observation, facilitated discussion, and diagnostic analysis. Structured formats help participants identify assumptions, clarify expectations, and explore alternative futures.

Outputs

The project produces discussion formats, diagnostic tools, workshop methods, and analytical frameworks that can be adapted to policy, industry, and research settings.
